The Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin (F & MCW) Transplant Service Line is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible transplant nephrologist interested in developing/advancing an academic career in a vibrant and growing academic transplant center. Qualifications:
- Candidate should be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin.
- Candidates must be in or completed a nephrology and transplant nephrology fellowship and be board certified/board eligible.
Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin Transplant Service Line
The Transplant Service Line is a joint program of Froedtert Hospital, the academic medical center of the Froedtert health network & the Medical College of Wisconsin, with vital support by Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin for tissue typing and research initiatives. The Service Line encompasses transplant programs in liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, and lung. Representing the most comprehensive pediatric and adult transplant care in Wisconsin and the region, the service line is recognized for nationally ranked outcomes, internationally known medical and surgical transplant specialists and end-stage disease management, innovation, and ground-breaking research. It is a critical resource for Wisconsin and beyond.
About The Division
The Division of Nephrology consists of twenty-seven faculty members that serve four hospitals, including Froedtert Hospital, Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, Froedtert West Bend Hospital, and the Zablocki V.A. Medical Center. Together we provide state-of-the-art, collaborative, and patient-centered care to adult patients with kidney disease, hypertension, and fluid and electrolyte abnormalities. Special areas of emphasis in patient care and research include transplant nephrology, onco-nephrology, kidney stone analysis, and acute kidney injury. The candidate will be based at Froedtert Hospital and Clinics, which is the leading adult medical facility at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, a comprehensive 225-acre medical campus located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Milwaukee.
