Position Summary: The Marketing & PR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Bellingrath’s brand strategy and campaigns. The manager will focus on driving community engagement, increasing revenue, and advancing visibility.

Primary responsibilities:
● Tell the story of Bellingrath Gardens and Home
● Develop and oversee overall brand strategy and management in advertising, digital and email marketing, and public relations. Responsible for purchasing advertising
● Ensure brand consistency and voice in all content including collateral materials, digital marketing, advertising, and signage.
● Create and implement multi-year marketing plans which support Bellingrath’s strategic priorities
● Direct the collection and analysis of market data, using Google Analytics and other tools to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and public relations initiatives
● Build and maintain relationships with external advertising, press, and promotional agencies
Coordinate all press requests and act as the organizational spokesperson as needed
● Create and distribute press packets, press releases and event calendars to newspapers, online sources, radio, television, magazines and trade publications
● Supervise internal marketing efforts.
● Coordinate and update collateral materials with the assistance of appropriate departments
● Produce a monthly newsletter
● Work collaboratively with the Director of Development and the Membership Manager to support development communications, memberships, and corporate sponsorship
Qualifications and requirements for the position include:
● 4-year degree in marketing or related area preferred
● 3-5 years of experience in marketing or public relations, preferably within the nonprofit or cultural organization field
● Experience with brand management and branding
● Superb communication (public speaking and writing) skills
● Excellent interpersonal skills, both with colleagues and with the visiting public
● Thorough understanding of digital media and marketing
● Ability to adapt marketing plans for multiple events and diverse audiences
● Ability to form new relationships with media and marketing businesses and persons within the greater Mobile, Alabama region
● Creative, and yet quick, thinker with the ability to pivot from one task/topic to another
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe or other marketing/visual tools,
● Attention to detail
● Strong organizational skills
