TITLE: Program Coordinator (Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Hybrid)
SALARY: $40,000
REPORTS TO: Executive Director (or Board Chair)
SUMMARY: Responsible for implementation, expansion, and evaluation of the GO FAR program in a way that supports GO FAR’s mission and vision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development and Expansion
- Program Design and Development:
- Lead the creation and implementation of new programs, including club recruitment in schools and youth organizations. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs, set goals, and develop plans to increase GO FAR participation in the Piedmont Triad, aligning with organizational and community objectives.
- Program Expansion and Growth:
- Identify opportunities for growth and scalability, focusing on expanding club recruitment to boost GO FAR participation. Develop strategies to increase reach, secure resources, and optimize operations for greater impact and engagement.
- Mentorship, Coaching, and Evaluation:
- Mentor coaches in program setup, race preparation (in collaboration with the Operations Manager), and business operations. Monitor program performance, track metrics, and conduct assessments to ensure goals are met. Prepare reports for stakeholders and leadership, using data to drive improvements.
Resource Development
- Assist with data collection for grant and development goals
- Pursue and innovate fundraising opportunities
Communications and Logistics
Engage with Civic Organizations:
Actively visit and present to civic organizations to raise awareness about GO FAR, while recruiting potential volunteers, race committee members, and board members to support program growth and community impact.
Collaborate with Partners:
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to amplify GO FAR’s presence and expand its reach within the community, driving engagement and fostering collaboration for mutual success.
Club Management
- Club Liaison and Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all GO FAR clubs, providing timely solutions to coach inquiries and addressing any challenges they encounter. Send weekly informational emails to keep coaches informed and engaged.
- Race and Event Coordination:
- Oversee Triad Coaches’ Packet Pickup and manage Triad race registrations, ensuring smooth operations and clear communication between coaches and event organizers.
- Club Retention and Customer Service:
- Foster strong relationships with coaches, parents, and club members by delivering exceptional customer service, proactively addressing needs, and ensuring a positive experience to maintain high levels of club retention.
Media Management
- Website and Event Information Management:
- Update the GO FAR and RunSignUp websites with race details, ensuring accuracy and alignment with program goals. Troubleshoot issues and work with the website host for optimal performance.
- Social Media and Community Engagement:
- Manage weekly social media posts to boost visibility and engagement, sharing creative content that promotes GO FAR’s programs, events, and impact.
- E-newsletter Content and Distribution:
- Create and distribute monthly e-newsletters to keep the community informed about GO FAR’s initiatives, fostering stronger connections and engagement.
Event Operations
- Program Coordination and Execution:
- Oversee the seamless coordination and execution of GO FAR’s programs, ensuring all aspects run smoothly from start to finish.
- Race Registration and Packet Pickup:
- Manage online race registrations and coordinate packet pickups for coaches and participants, ensuring timely and efficient distribution before and on Race Day.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, professional presentation, and strong networking abilities.
- Creative, resourceful, and self-motivated, with the ability to balance independent work and team collaboration.
- Experience in marketing.
- Must reside in the Piedmont Triad.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
