Job Summary

Beyond Sport has an immediate opening for a creative, results-driven storyteller with a passion for developing impactful, integrated marketing campaigns and strategies that contribute to positive social change. Reporting to the Director of Content and Communications, the successful candidate will plan, execute and manage marketing campaigns that elevate our mission, programs and brand visibility while fostering public engagement in sport for social change and expanding our audiences.

The Campaign Manager will collaborate with a cross-functional international team, external partners and freelancers/vendors to develop compelling campaigns and collateral, including narrative content as applicable, social media advertisements, email campaigns and web pages. They will also contribute to special projects, events and program marketing/communications deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

General Marketing & Communications

• Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and cross channel campaigns that deliver to Beyond Sport’s organizational objectives and program and fundraising goals, while increasing brand awareness and deepening audience engagement and growth

• Responsible for overall campaign management, including market research, target audience segmentation, paid campaigns, content development and execution, campaign performance and tactical recommendations

• Create compelling and inclusive marketing materials and messaging in collaboration with Content Manager, internal staff and freelance designers and agencies as applicable, ensuring that the foundation has the right mix of assets and channels to successfully advocate for sport for social change and drive impact

• Oversee Google Ad Grants and Facebook/Meta Business Manager Ad accounts

• Deliver on marketing elements for program partner and sponsor campaigns and initiatives

• Contribute to content for use across Beyond Sport’s digital channels and provide support on campaigns for special projects, activations, fundraising and key events

• Help keep website content current and optimized

• Assist Content Manager with bi-weekly Bulletin (e-newsletter) development as needed to maximize audience reach and engagement

• Maintain familiarity with digital media and market trends and traditional and emerging technologies

Data & Analytics

• Leverage expertise in market research, consumer insights and data analysis to optimize campaigns, attract and retain subscribers and ensure maximum ROI.

• Implement digital marketing best practices, including audience persona creation, A/B testing, SEO, SEM, social media and content marketing, reporting etc.

• Track and analyze metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness/ROI and adjust KPIs and strategies as necessary to achieve targets

• Convert complex data into understandable reports; present the results to management and partners as needed

• Collaborate with Content Manager on social media strategies to increase daily engagement and grow followers; support on effective use of the latest data capture tools and metrics evaluation

Special Projects

• Ideate and execute on creative marketing activations that leverage Beyond Sport’s 2024 organizational rebrand and new website to engage key stakeholders and the public

• Collaborate on delivery of multi-year, multi-channel campaigns for program partner initiatives, inclusive of international and national sporting brands, foundations, corporations and sports media outlets

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in marketing and/or communications roles, preferably with a nonprofit organization. International experience a plus.

• Proven results in creation, execution and analysis of strategic marketing plans and campaigns that build and deepen engagement across diverse audiences

• Excellent knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques, including social media platforms, email marketing software, post schedulers and web analytic tools

• Be well versed in paid and organic media, content marketing, lead generation, optimization and performance reporting

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail

• A keen eye for design, a creative mindset and experience with graphic design, eg. Canva or Adobe Photoshop, and video production

• Tech-savvy with an interest and ability in adopting new tools and software

• Experienced with budgeting and calculating ROI projections

• Proficiency with CMS and email platforms; familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp and Zoho CRM a plus.

• Ability to communicate and interface effectively with all levels of management including senior leaders

• Experience working in a small team in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

• Strong time management and organizational skills with and ability to work to deadline on multiple projects simultaneously
