The Spanish American Committee for a Better Community (SAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit human services agency serving the city of Cleveland since 1966. SAC provides comprehensive social services, employment, housing, childcare, financial literacy, and adult education services.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the COO. The individual will communicate with and support all departments within The Spanish American Committee to promote services to targeted audiences and the overall impact of the organization to the general public. The marketing specialist will assist with all general marketing and communications activities including but not limited to media relations, advertising, social media promotion, newsletter generation, website management and event and fundraising promotion.

Assist with development and lead implementation of the organization’s marketing and communications plan.
Design, edit, and coordinate production of all marketing and communications products including advertisements, e-newsletters, printed collateral, annual reports, event invites and direct mail.
Support media relations activities for the organization including generating press releases, setting up interviews and assisting with press events.
Manage content, design and search engine optimization (SEO) for the organization’s website, in partnership with its external web firm.
Develop and execute social media initiatives including generating original content and graphics, overseeing and reporting on platform analytics and managing paid social advertising activities. Platforms include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Work as a liaison to department managers and program staff to compile updated content used to populate all marketing and communications channels.

Qualifications and Experience

Two to three years of experience in marketing or communications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field
Demonstrated success in executing communications/marketing strategy for an institution
Understanding of database/CRM systems, Photoshop, Constant Contact, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media management software
Knowledge of Hispanic culture and local community preferred

· Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

Job Type: Part-Time or Contract

Salary: $28-30 Hourly
