Term: September 2024 –December 2024 (potential to extend).

Commitment: Part-time. 1 day/week.

Location: NYC (remote position).

Salary: Flexible hours at $250 USD/a day (for 8 hours).

Reporting to the Brand and Partnership Manager and the Managing Director, the US partnership lead will initiate and manage relationships between Teach Us Consent’s newly-launched newsletter and other organisations in the sexual violence prevention sector in the US for collaboration and growth. This is a remote role with flexible hours.

Key responsibilities:

Collaborate with the editorial team to develop content ideas consistent with the content strategy, ensuring the newsletter communicates effectively to its audience.
Identify, initiate where appropriate, and help foster relationships with USA-based not-for-profits, organisations, and key stakeholders.
Seek out and where appropriate, manage relationships with guest writers and contributors, ensuring diverse and high-quality content.
Occasionally represent Teach Us Consent at industry events, conferences, and meetings, promoting the organisation and building strategic connections.
Stay well-read on relevant topics, trends, and news on the topic of consent, relationships and sexual violence prevention in North America and incorporate this knowledge into your work.
Write 1 original, research-backed and compelling columns per month for the newsletter (optional)

Required knowledge and experience:

Communication and relationship building skills
In-depth local understanding of the sexual violence prevention and gender equality sector landscape, including trends and key players
Prospecting and networking skills to source new partnership opportunities
Experience in developing and delivering pitches, proposals, and presentations to senior-level stakeholders
Proven ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
