Agency Tourism Marketing is a full-service marketing agency that caters largely to travel and tourism brands both big and small. We help states, regions, cities, DMOs, CVBs, attractions, and resorts attract more visitors while considering the lasting impacts of their destination marketing and management.

About You

We’re seeking a unique candidate who has strong experience designing, building, coding, and tracking HTML emails. We use MailChimp, our proprietary platform Tourism Engine™, and a few other platforms. Your contribution will be a critical piece of our team's marketing efforts. Of course you're a real problem solver who enjoys coming up with creative solutions.

Minimum requirements:

Creating aesthetic static designs in Photoshop, Canva, Figma, etc.
Demonstrated proficiency coding email templates using HTML
Experience testing email templates for multiple devices using Litmus or equivalent
Proficiency with Google Analytics tracking for email links
Ability to edit and optimize images for web use
Physically located in Portland, OR area
A good attitude, driven, and wants to win
Strong email, phone, and video communication skills
Good communication manners and professional appearance
Excellent design skills
Enthusiasm to continuously learn new things and expand skill set

Responsibilities include:

Working with a marketing manager and senior developer
Designing, building, and maintaining email newsletters for multiple clients
Improving existing email newsletters
Assisting marketing specialists with updates to newsletter copy
Ensuring UTM parameter tracking is in place and functioning
Setting up programmatical email automation

Bonus points for:

Experience in the tourism industry
Design capabilities in other areas: website, branding, print
Photoshop and graphics manipulation abilities
WordPress experience

Compensation:

Starting at $25-$35 hourly before transitioning to salary with benefits
$55,000 to $70,000 per year
