We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Editorial Manager to join our team. This role requires a blend of editorial expertise, proficiency with AI tools, a strong understanding of digital marketing and monetization, and project management skills, all within the context of email newsletters. The Editorial Manager will work closely with our leadership team to oversee the day-to-day operations of our newsletters, ensuring high-quality content delivery, audience engagement, and seamless execution of various editorial projects.

This position is entirely remote. Most of our team is in the Orlando, FL area and we generally work ET hours and collaborate in Slack. We do have an office in Downtown Orlando that is mostly used for group meetings but can be utilized for daily work if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Oversight: Manage the editorial calendar, ensuring timely publication of newsletters and other digital content. Edit and proofread articles, ensuring they align with our brand's voice, tone, and editorial guidelines.
AI Tool Utilization: Utilize AI-driven tools to streamline content creation, curation, and distribution processes. Collaborate with tech teams to optimize tool usage and integrate new technologies as needed.
Monetization & Marketing Support: Work with the marketing team to implement strategies that enhance reader engagement, increase subscriptions, and maximize monetization opportunities. Assist in creating and managing collateral for our partnerships and sponsorships.
Project Management: Coordinate and manage multiple editorial projects from conception to completion. Ensure that all tasks are executed within set timelines and budgets, maintaining a high standard of quality.
Platform Expertise: Utilize and optimize email newsletter platforms like Iterable and Beehiiv to improve content delivery, audience segmentation, and performance tracking.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content performance, audience engagement, and monetization. Provide regular reports and insights to the Director.
Team Collaboration: Liaise with writers, designers, and other team members to ensure cohesive and consistent content output. Provide guidance and support to junior staff and freelancers.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in editorial management or a related field, particularly within email newsletters.
Familiarity with AI tools used in content creation and management.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, audience engagement, and monetization strategies.
Proficiency with platforms like Iterable and Beehiiv.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
