The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Position Summary

The Foundation has an exciting learning opportunity available for a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Intern. This is a chance to work within a leading non-profit organization to gain firsthand experience around implementing a DEI strategy to accomplish its mission. This role would provide exposure to both internal and external DEI work that spans all aspects of the Foundation’s functionality. We are seeking someone for this internship who is high-energy, detail-oriented and a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Intern candidates who are knowledgeable about diversity, inclusion, cultural intelligence, and equity issues, and are looking to learn more would be a valuable addition to our team.

This is a paid 8-week Internship opportunity, running from February 10 - April 3, 2025 with 20 hours/week anticipated. Pay rate is $20/hour for undergraduate students and $25/hour for Master's candidates.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Assist in developing content for monthly DEI newsletter and weekly internal posts.
Support development of monthly educational programming for all staff.
Partner with the Employee Resource Groups (ERG), DEI Council, Learning & Development, People & Culture leadership, and more on special projects.
Analyze DEI data and metrics to track and measure progress.
Work with cross-departmental interns to execute a Foundation-wide team project.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Interest and knowledgeable about DEI as an areas of focus in an organization.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Interest and comfort level with data analytics preferred.
Must be pro-active, self-directed, detail-oriented and organized, as well as work independently in a virtual setting.
Ability to interact professionally with multiple and diverse cross-departmental stakeholders
Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines (with supervision).
