Job Description
As an Intern serving with the Global Services Department (GSD) Communication Coordinator, you will contribute to creating communications that support the GSD’s purpose “to help others come unto Christ by serving members, leaders, and employees.” Interns will gain increased skills in writing, listening, and creating/designing exciting, uplifting, and informative communication material.
Our Intern will need to be in the office at least one or more days during the week as designated by team and department. This alternative working arrangement that includes a hybrid component is subject to an approval process.
This is a paid internship that requires working 40 hours weekly and consistently. We anticipate that this internship will last up to 12 months.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will involve the following, but not limited to:
- Contributing to/sending Weekly Roundup Newsletter
- Uploading GSD Managing Director’s weekly video
- Designing elevator, stairwell, and cafeteria flyers each month that emphasize key messages, goals, and initiatives
- Create Scala images that are on theme with the events, flyers, and seasonal messaging.
- Writing skills to create and edit self-authored articles or articles submitted by employees and missionaries.
- Assist by attending events to take photos as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 year of professional experience in communication, editing, or writing, or related fields.
- Experience in Digital Design with:
- Canva
- Photoshop
- InDesign
- Illustrator
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience in Videography
- Premiere Pro
- Photography/Camera Operation
- Creativity with a desire to learn
- Great attention to detail
- Technical skills in the following programs:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- PowerPoint
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft SharePoint Skills (basic)
- Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation.
- They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
Preferred, but not required: - Fluent in Spanish/Portuguese
