Job Summary
This role is responsible for assisting in the development of methodologies for compliance with HP’s Privacy and Data Protection Program with specific focus on HP’s Customer Support Services. Will be engaged in assessing information system components, analyzing process compliance to privacy laws, and supporting the execution of privacy programs. The role entails collaborating with relevant teams for process improvements, participating in reviews with clients, and communicating privacy objectives and results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a communication platform and model for the Privacy Program for the Customer Support organization.
- Increase awareness of privacy knowledge, including requirements, relevant news, communication/engagement channels, etc.
- Model to evaluate, but not limited to, channels involving: Yammer, Blog, Website, Newsletter, SharePoint, Webcasts, Interviews of key stakeholders, etc
- Implement a formal process of engagement to ensure ease-of-access for users and allow tracking of consultation types and volumes.
- Oversee and drive privacy training:
- Link with HP Privacy Office on new training offerings
- Link with learning & development to ensure privacy trainings through HP tools are up to date and available for users
- Develop and build new training packages as required
- Connect with Operations to drive appropriate trainings depending on service provided
- Develop and implement appropriate training packages for 3rd parties
- Oversee training completion and communicate with management
- Manage Privacy Third-Pty Risk Assessments (TPRAs)
- Linkage with Procurement on refining engagement model and ensure process adherence
- Connect with HP Privacy to ensure proper flow of new partners to be assessed
- Drive compliance with new partners on completing assigned TPRAs
- Develop and drive proper tracking method of partner completion and prioritization
- Launch assessments and follow up on active completion of TPRAs
Education And Experience Required
- Currently enrolled in a four-year college and returning to school following the internship.
- Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2025, and not require sponsorship in the future.
- Work experience is not required, but appropriate internships related to the job content would be a plus.
- Solid knowledge in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Fluent in English.
- Familiarity with basic concepts of privacy and data protection will be a plus.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and presentation. Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and contribute to project objectives.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights for implementing compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Majors
- In last year of study of Bachelor's degree in law, International Affairs, Public Policy, International Business, political science or equivalent.

The pay range for this position is $21.85 to $24.70 per hour (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
