We have an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join a very busy People team based in the US. We are flexible on location. You will be providing administrative support to the Americas People Team to deliver operational administrative support across the employee life cycle. Working to embed People systems and good practice that reflect Vistra values. Working collaboratively to provide advice, guidance and support to line managers and colleagues across the Americas offices and to those working remotely.
Vistra is a complex organization going through a tremendous amount of change and transformation, so this role would suit an individual who adapts and thrives well in this type of fast-paced environment, who has previously worked in Corporate business, picks up new systems and processes very quickly, can think on their own two feet, and does not mind a heavy administrative workload or any ad hoc duties that the wider People team might need support with.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for all general People enquiries for hiring managers, employees and other People team members
- Act as the main point of contact between the Americas HR team and Global Service Center teams, fostering collaboration and supporting regional and global HR initiatives.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time each pay period, coordinating with relevant teams and addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate JLM data across all HR systems, ensuring consistency and reliability for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Liaise with benefits providers to ensure our benefits offerings are compliant and meet company standards.
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and other initiatives as needed to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Monitors both long- and short-term absence, updating the line managers and ensuring that staff are managed in accordance with laws, regulation, and company policies, liaising with 3rd party health providers as required and in accordance with Head of People guidance.
- Supporting People Business Partners and line managers with less complex ER activities
- Using People information system to access, input and compile data
- Conduct exit interviews, and stay interviews, analyzing feedback as required
- Support the Head of People in the delivery of value-led initiatives and project support
- A proactive contributor towards People initiatives; maintaining the People activity calendar, collating information for newsletter, assisting with the organization of training events, communication forums and branding initiatives as required
- To undertake any other duties, as may be required from time to time commensurate with the level of the role

Relevant Experience:
- Prior experience in HR (People)
- Experience working with ADP required.
- Proficient in Microsoft word, outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and providing support across a number of different offices and remote employees.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
