OVERVIEW
The Editor, Real Estate & Investing will lead the production of a real estate investing newsletter, The Playbook, that helps aspiring and current real estate investors learn the Xs and Os of the industry. This position will also provide editing support for our two daily newsletters, Brew Markets & the Morning Brew flagship newsletter.
Reporting to the Executive Editor, you will make the complex worlds of business and investing more conversational and compelling to millions of readers looking for a news source that values their time and speaks to them like normal human beings.
Our positions are remote hybrid; however, we have a strong preference for employees who can work from our Morning Brew Inc. HQ in NYC.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
- Build, write, and publish Morning Brew’s Real Estate newsletter 1x/week
- Provide editorial support to Brew Markets (our weekday markets newsletter) & Morning Brew (our flagship 7x a week business newsletter). That could include editing full editions or individual articles.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in writing & editing for a publication
- Detailed line-editor that understands Morning Brew’s style
- At least three years of experience editing real estate news
- Knowledge around the real estate investing space real estate experience is a plus
- Ability to identify stories that matter most to our audience
- Collaborative mindset and flexibility to help where needed
COMPENSATION 90,000 - 100,000 *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
