The Non-Profit Development & Events Administrative will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations and growth of our Cincinnati/NKY-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering those affected by Type 1 Diabetes. Acting as a liaison with the Board of Directors, this role will focus on key areas such as generating community engagement through fundraising, awareness events, and management of our digital presence; aid in funding opportunities for our programs through grant research and execution of donation campaigns; and providing general administrative support with the day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination
- Plan and execute all fundraising events, including galas, walk/run events, and community outreach initiatives including the management of budgets, registrations and event promotion.
- Liaise with vendors, venues, and sponsors to ensure successful event delivery and execution
- Conduct comprehensive post-event analysis to identify successes and areas for improvement
Communications & Digital Engagement
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to engage our supporters and expand our online presence across channels
- Monitor and respond to messages, comments, and inquiries in a timely manner
- Work with local media to increase our reach across the community
- Maintain and create engaging content to update the organization's website/newsletter/ social media with news, events, resources, and other relevant information
- Build and maintain CRM database for consistent touchpoints and outreach
Board/Program Support
- Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, providing calendar of upcoming events and budget updates, taking minutes, and tracking action items
- Collaborate with the Board to ideate and implement new programs, workshops, and resources for the Type 1 Diabetes community
Grant Writing & Reporting
- Research grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and initiatives
- Work with the Board and external partners on compiling grant applications, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation
- Fulfill grant reporting requirements by tracking program metrics and compiling impact data
Volunteer Management
- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate volunteers to support fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and other initiatives
- Develop training materials and provide guidance to ensure volunteers are equipped to represent the organization effectively
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in event planning, communications, or nonprofit administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in social media management, website maintenance, and content creation
- Existing knowledge or willingness to adapt to SaaS products used in the organization (e.g., HubSpot, Monday.com, Google Suite, Bloomerang)
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Passion for supporting the Type 1 Diabetes community
- Familiarity with nonprofit operations, fundraising, and grant writing a plus
Compensation: Salary is negotiable based on experience, with discretionary performance-based bonus structure. Health benefits, unlimited PTO, and paid holidays.
Position Location: Based in our Burlington, KY office Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm) with occasions where flexibility is required for engagements and events scheduled on evenings and weekends.
