From one of the most iconic peanut butter brands to several pet food brands that dogs and cats love, we’re focused on the center store and growing our portfolio of shelf-stable foods that families rely on. As we continue to grow, we are looking to add to our corporate communications team in our Lakeville office. Joining our corporate communications team means becoming part of a dynamic and growing organization dedicated to making lives better by making delicious food accessible for all. This role offers the opportunity to help build our internal and external communications strategies, making a significant impact on our company culture and employee engagement.
The Communications Associate will work in a hybrid, collaborative and fast-paced environment, reporting to the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications. This small but mighty team of dedicated professionals are passionate about driving company goals through effective communication tactics. Success in this role includes demonstrating the ability to execute strategic communication initiatives, enhancing employee engagement, and managing complex projects.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Work in partnership with corporate communications team to drive and implement communication strategy objectives
- Plan and execute upon the internal communications strategy to help strengthen the company culture. This includes communications programs that support key initiatives, such as designing and building the internal newsletter, supporting monthly all-employee Business Update meetings, maintaining the news intranet, communications measurement and more
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies to develop and execute communications and web programs designed to drive company goals
- Provide strong project management skills for the corporate web site, including copywriting and editing
- Manage employee communications through PCB’s intranet and internal news streams; craft and execute employee-related communications plans
- Develop and manage the internal communications editorial calendar and digital assets
- Lead editorial sessions to proactively develop internal news content, draft internal articles and company blog posts, and manage distribution
- Write with speed, accuracy, consistency, and the appropriate tone and length for the audience
- Prepare internal and external talking points, messages and presentations for leaders
- Manage internal communications measurement dashboard, providing quarterly recaps and extracting insights from the metrics that can be used to adjust tactics and strategies for maximum impact
- Track budget and spending tied to core work initiatives

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations or liberal arts
- 5-7+ years’ experience in communications or public relations at an agency, corporate setting, or both
- Deep understanding of internal and corporate communications
- Website and social media management expertise
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively and manage relationships with all levels of management, strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
- Strong people skills, ability to gain confidence and alignment with leaders
- Strong skills in SharePoint, web-based newsletter programs and other digital workspace tools
- Ability to handle confidential data and information
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations or liberal arts
Experience
- 5-7+ years’ experience in communications and or public relations at an agency, corporate setting, or both
