Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for our not-for-profit team in Chicago, IL. The AP Specialist is responsible for servicing the accounting needs of our nonprofit clients, with a dedicated focus on managing the invoicing and billing processes. The AP Specialist will serve as the brand ambassador of Quatrro and help initiate, maintain, and develop the relationship as a key contact and internal liaison for the client.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week on-site in Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Own and oversee accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Analyze workflow processes
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensure bills are recorded in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to procedures
- Process due invoices for payments
- Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges
- Process transactions and performaccounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts
- Communicate company policies and procedures to those assigned responsibility for incurring expenditures, and inform management of any issues
- Quickly learn and understand company processes and accounting system functionality, and apply business knowledge and reasoning ability in resolution of accounting tasks and issues
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Proficient in accounting software, including NetSuite, Corpay, and MS Office Suite
- Ability to prioritize tasks, receive guidance, and work independently
- Action-oriented - understand key objectives, meet accounting timelines, and display ethics and values in all actions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; relationship building
- Ability to manage priorities and functions; strong time management skills
- Business acumen and ability to communicate with key stakeholders, clients, and company executives
