Director Community Partnerships. Full time position. This position oversees and manages the Volunteer Coordinator and Community Outreach staff. They cultivates and coordinates interactive relationships with many community partners, civic organizations and public entities, making and scheduling public presentations for key staff to provide education and information that will increase awareness about domestic violence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. DEVELOPMENT
In close coordination with the Executive Director, oversees all fund development activities such as research and solicitation of local grants, corporate, foundation and individual donor solicitations. Cultivates major gifts and relationships with Mission Granbury donors. Manage the development software and oversee data entry and gift processing. Supervise stewardship and data management/tracking of Mission Granbury donors and prospects.
2. CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
In conjunction with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, oversee planning and execution of capital campaigns to benefit the agency. Actively participate in fundraising activities and recruitment and retention of donors.
3. COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS (SAPCS 4.8 hours)
Working with the Executive Director, formulate and oversee implementation of an annual development plan including the agency’s newsletter, the Annual Report, agency website, social media and public speaking opportunities to raise the agency’s profile and meet the goals of the Mission Granbury’s Strategic Plan. With the Executive Director, respond to or initiate contact with local and national media for press coverage for Mission Granbury, respecting site and client confidentiality.
With the Volunteer Coordinator, develop and maintain an agency culture that celebrates the contributions of volunteers; cultivate volunteer participation as part of community partnerships activities. Direct and monitor the agency’s website to promote Mission Granbury. Ensure that the website is up to date with current information, has user friendly links for donors to make donations to the agency, has user friendly links to recruit volunteers, etc. Manage development and upkeep of printed material related to Mission Granbury services to ensure communications are cohesive, up-to-date and inviting. Manage the development of regular newsletter and e-newsletter, updating mailing list, format and distribution.
4. Program Support Services
Document all services provided in a timely manner using approved procedures. Perform job duties in accordance with approved agency policies and procedures. Participate in staff training as requested and appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned by team leader and/or agency leadership.
Physical Demand and Work Environment:
● Works under pressure from clients, staff and volunteers needing assistance and to meet pertinent deadlines

● May require lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently
● Requires awareness of personal limitations and flexibility
● Requires limited travel, some nights and weekends as necessary to complete tasks
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required or a combination of relevant education and/or training plus a minimum of four years’ experience in fund development. Successful candidate will be self-motivated, self-confident, results oriented and maintain high moral and ethical standards. Must understand the dynamics of family violence, sexual assault and child abuse and other related issues. Must demonstrate proficiency in meeting fundraising and community partnership goals for a nonprofit organization. Must show proven ability to manage projects, staff and volunteers in a fast-paced, high-energy and fluid environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to read, write and converse in English. Ability to communicate effectively and at an appropriate level with staff, Board of Directors, support agencies and funding sources, state and local public figures, clients, and others. Ability to remain calm under stress and have the emotional and physical stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations. Ability to multi-task, respond to telephones, written correspondence, and other auditory and visual stimulation. Must be able to tolerate sitting or standing. Must be computer proficient and have knowledge of development software.
