This position oversees the market intelligence team including multiple direct and indirect reports and is responsible for both timely and high-quality content production by the team. To assure delivery of high-quality content, the incumbent will ensure that all website copy and content maintains brand consistency, is SEO-optimized, and contains the correct information.
Experience in the health care field will be an important factor in selecting the best candidate. The incumbent must also have exemplary writing and editing skills and be willing to not only lead the team, but also dive into the weeds as needed. The success will be measured by
OPEN MINDS Circle product line revenue and profitability, as well as readership performance indicators.
This is a full-time position based in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. A hybrid role will be considered for the right candidate. This position is eligible for all standard benefits including PTO, insurance (medical, dental, and vision), and 401(K).
Responsibilities Of This Position Include
- Accountability for the operation of the OPEN MINDS Circle market intelligence product lines, including such content assets as the monthly newsletter, weekly news service, multiple databases, long-form reports, weekly roundtable executive case study webinars, and multiple profiles – states, service provider organizations and specific innovative programs.
- Manage the production cycle for market intelligence service lines including editorial planning, topic selection, content production, layout, editing, and publication
- Manage the multi-person market intelligence research and production team
- Write and coach team in writing in a manner that is able to reach the desired audience through organic SEO content tactics.
- Analyze subscription service metrics (like types of subscribers, renewal rates, readership stats, and more) and report on the effectiveness of the company’s content to drive future content creation and propose optimizations for current content
- Maintain and manage the market intelligence content production pipeline.
- Edit the pre-publication content on on-line platforms from various internal and external sources.
- Ensure the content website meets user functionality needs as well as all global compliance requirements, including data privacy, user accessibility, and other relevant laws and regulations
- Contribute to the subscription sales and renewal process, including facilitating virtual tours for current and potential subscribers as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of managing digital content production in online publishing, mobile apps, and/or subscription service with corresponding marketing experience
- Minimum of four years of experience managing research and writing teams.
- Experience with publishing health and/or business content at a large-scale web site
- Experience editing content, and ability to provide detailed feedback to writers on a wide range of topics while proofing documents for grammatical accuracy and correct layout
- Knowledge of the health care field
- Understand content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
- An understanding of analytics and experience incorporating learnings into future content production.
- Excellent project management; organizational, communication, and analytical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile team-oriented environment—someone who embraces and leads through change and ambiguity
- A curious, collaborative, open-minded individual
- Demonstrated proficiency with and working knowledge of computer applications including, but not limited to, word processing, electronic data transfer programs, e-mail, databases, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience
- Experience working with a C-Level executive is a plus.
- Visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
- Ability to drive an automobile and must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, as well as bending and lifting from a sitting or standing position.
- Ability to travel unattended on an as needed basis.
