Responsibilities
Panasonic Energy’s Intern Program provides meaningful, real-life experience while working as a solutions leader for the energy industry as you learn about the Panasonic organization. Gain mentorship and interact with internal and external audiences with the goal of enhancing Panasonic’s reputation with key stakeholders—our current, future and alumni talent—and contributing to our culture model through storytelling that captures our values and delivers key information to our talent base.
Internship Details
- The program will be a fulltime paid summer internship working for Panasonic at the Gigafactory
- The program will be 12 weeks in length, and is planned to occur between Monday, May 19th and Friday, August 8th. This date range is subject to change
- Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship
- Housing allowance provided
Program Requirements
- The program will be a full-time paid summer internship working for Panasonic Energy of North America onsite at the Gigafactory
- Must attend entirety of internship from the indicated start and end date noted above
- Minimum 3.2 GPA
- Must have completed a minimum of 2 years at an accredited university
Essential Duties
- Support the Communications team in executing communication plans and drafting content for key company programs, including storytelling to bring Panasonic’s Mission/Vision/Behaviors for Success to life, Wellness/Benefits/Total Rewards programs, local events, and more.
- Draft short articles and feature stories for company newsletter and/or intranet.
- Support company live events, such as All Hands Meetings, and other corporate events as needed.
- Collaborate on creative content creation to capture culture and drive employee engagement.
- Bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to Panasonic’s Communications Program, serving as an agent for change in the way we reach and interact with employees today and in the future.
- Collaborate with other functional areas and interns to leverage processes and ideas to and from other parts of the business
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Education
What You'll Bring:
- Completion of at least two years of full-time enrollment) in a Bachelor’s degree program in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources or alike
Essential Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write and communicate information clearly and concisely
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
Preferred Qualifications
- GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Hands-on experience through project teams or previous jobs
- Creative, self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Goal-oriented, innovative forward thinker
- A desire to create a sustainable future through energy storage, renewable energy, and electric vehicles

Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) is collaborating with Tesla at a massive battery factory near Reno, Nevada which is known for its quality of life and expansive outdoor adventures. Panasonic's role at the Gigafactory is to manufacture and supply cylindrical lithium-ion cells to Tesla for their electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
