JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University's Central Development Team within the Advancement Division is looking for a Gift and Estate Planning Coordinator to fulfill the following duties:
- Advancement's Central Development Team (CDT) is actively recruiting a dynamic, enthusiastic, self-starter for the Gift & Estate Planning Coordinator position to promote planned giving initiatives.
- This individual will create and execute cohesive & personalized stewardship plans for all current and prospective estate planning donors
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Clemson Legacy Society Coordinator:
Develops and executes a comprehensive stewardship plan for all Clemson Legacy Society members to ensure each member experiences general and personalized engagement and deeper connections with Clemson University; promotes strategic, donor focused stewardship by in-person/virtual meetings, creating compelling correspondence, and strategic touchpoints for Legacy Society members and and their families.
30% - Essential - Office G&EP Support:
Collaborates with all DOs to process planned gifts and ensures that all MOUs and fund agreements are completed in a timely manner; develops/maintains a working knowledge of planned giving processes and vehicles; provides exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of poise, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions with donors; assists with maintenance and accuracy of the University's Deferred Gift Inventory.
25% - Essential - Donor Stewardship,
Marketing Initiatives and Customer Service: prepares gift/pledge financial summaries & endowment balances for donors; organizes campus visits and events for Gift & Estate Planning program constituents; distributes marketing materials for G&EP and maintains supply for all Development Officers; works closely with team members to prepare Impact Reports for current/future donors; assists with creation of profiles for e-newsletter, PG Magazine & other publications and videos that demonstrate impact of philanthropic gifts.
15% - Essential - Sr. AVP Support and PG Team Support:
Maintains working knowledge of University and Foundation policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; collaborates with colleagues to establish new procedures, as well as suggesting solutions to streamline processes, to ensure effective and efficient operations; maintains an innovative and informative Gift & Estate Planning Manual; assists with confidential donor correspondence; serves as backup for Sr. AVP admin coordinator; supports special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - 1+ Years experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience - 2+ Years in business or public administration setting and/or legal background in estate planning; client/customer relations and stewardship or project management experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Overnight Travel - occasional travel may include day trips as well as overnight travel
WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hours: 37.5/week
Compensation Information
Expected Salary Range: $ 46,655.00 - $ 55,000.00
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
