Position: Marketing & Business Development Assistant

Position Overview:
As a Marketing & Business Development Assistant, you'll play a vital support role in our integrated approach to business development and marketing. Your responsibilities include qualifying and nurturing leads, positioning the company uniquely, producing high-quality content, and providing administrative support to the Marketing & Business Development team.
Specific Responsibilities:
Content Marketing:
- Create, review, and revise marketing & business development materials.
- Ensure content aligns with the company's brand voice.
- Manage content publishing calendars and monitor key metrics.
Business Development Support:
- Qualify inbound leads.
- Conduct background research for proposals and pitches.
- Assist with proposal creation, editing, and drafting.
- Keep CRM, RFP Calendar, and other platforms up to date.
Social Media Marketing:
- Generate engaging digital content.
- Manage social media calendar and conduct social listening.
Email Marketing:
- Assist with newsletter production, landing pages, and email campaigns.
- Manage lists and marketing automation.
Event Marketing:
- Plan and organize conferences and webinars.
- Manage sponsorships, budgets, and overall presence at industry events.
Project Coordination:
- Serve as a substitute project manager when needed.
Website Support:
- Interview internal subject matter experts for case studies.
- Write, edit, and promote the company's blog.
- Assist with content production and curation for the website.
Required Skills/Experience:
- College graduate or 3 to 5 years' relevant experience.
- Excellent writing ability.
- Strong knowledge of social media.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Other Duties As Assigned
Nice-to-haves:
- Previous marketing experience.
- Agency or non-profit experience.
- Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
- Tools experience (CRM, WordPress, MailChimp, etc.).
- Understanding of website strategy, design, and development.
- Business development and sales experience.
- Event planning and journalism experience.
- Graphic design experience.
