Responsibilities
Working under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, this position supports the department's efforts to communicate, educate, inspire, and engage effectively, while maintaining and promoting the San Diego Regional Center's mission and brand. This position is responsible for:
Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.Creating the monthly newsletter, event flyers, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, email marketing campaigns, and advertising materials using graphic design.Proofreading and managing print coordination and product inventory.Coordinating events, managing event registration and sponsorships, preparing resource materials and giveaways, maintaining event records, providing regular updates on event details, collaborating with other teams, and assisting with event set-up and registration.Managing the staff tribute program and mission moment awards.EDUCATIONBachelor's, Associate, or Graphic Design Certification, and two (2) to three (3) years' design and event coordination experience. Experience working with non-profits is a plus.Other RequirementsMust be creative, with the ability to think outside the box, and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional project management and organizational skills to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow-up on assignments. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and the desire for continual learning and evolving with current digital and print marketing trends is required. Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Survey Monkey, Canva, and Visme. Professional, with excellent interpersonal skills, culturally diverse awareness and sensitivity, strong work ethic, and customer service focus.
