The International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards & Training (IADLEST) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming policing by promoting excellence in training and professional standards. Our membership is comprised of key leaders in law enforcement training, including the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Directors of every state in the U.S., as well as state and local training academy directors.
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant for 30hrs per week. $18 to $20 hr with benefits
Responsibilities:
· Serve as primary, front-line contact for the organization; handle inquiries from the general public/membership via phone, email, answer questions and/or direct them to the appropriate staff member(s) as needed; Filing, updating various spreadsheets, databases and basic bookkeeping tasks.
· Take on routine tasks for the Director of Operations to include but not limited to, scheduling reminders for upcoming deadlines, issuing membership invoices & cards, issuing expired membership invoices, distributing webinar flyers, certification packets and social media spotlight management.
· Provide operational office management for digital filing systems, computer systems, mail/correspondence, scheduling, office supplies, for all telecommunications and voice systems.
· Prepare and maintain data and filing records; enter and retrieve data; assist with producing invoices, producing various documents, summaries, and reports.
· Editor of the quarterly IADLEST membership newsletter.
· Coordinate with Director of Operations and assist with processing and coding of payment requests, receipts, travel reports and other financial information.
· Organize, handle, and provide logistical support for in-person and virtual events and meetings, including setting up registration and monitoring event registration.
· Assist with the organizing and delivery of the annual conference.
· Support with creation of online surveys and other methods of data collection.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience and/or Knowledge of Federal grants/Non-Profit strongly preferred.
· Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
· An eye for attention to detail.
· Organization and interpersonal skills are required.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and monitor progress towards goals.
· Familiarity in planning, coordinating and executing events and meetings.
· Innovative thinker and problem solver, ability to troubleshoot for solutions.
