The Association of Migraine Disorders (AMD) is seeking a Social Media Specialist to create engaging social media content for multiple platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Threads, TikTok) for both AMD and Shades for Migraine. This role will also include managing email marketing campaigns, overseeing website updates, and handling overall content management across multiple channels.

Hours
40 hours per week - This position will be a remote contact position.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a creative social media strategy to enhance engagement, grow our follower base, and expand our database.
- Content Creation & Coordination: Plan, create, and schedule daily content, maintaining an organized content calendar across all platforms and our website. This includes podcasts, blog posts, email campaigns, videos, and more.
- Community Engagement: Respond promptly to comments and direct messages, fostering a positive and interactive online community.
- Campaign Oversight: Manage social media campaigns, influencer collaborations, and advertising budgets.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor social media metrics, report outcomes to senior management, and refine strategies based on insights.
- Email & Newsletter Production: Create and distribute monthly newsletters for AMD and Shades for Migraine.
- Upload content across multiple channels: Publish monthly podcasts, blog posts, videos to the website and on social media.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience managing professional social media accounts
- Familiarity with using Canva, Adobe, Constant Contact and Later
- Previous experience with Wordpress is a plus
- Ability to present technical information (ex. research studies) in an interesting and simple manner
- Highly organized to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and Facebook Ads)
- Experience with influencer marketing and collaboration
- Interest in learning about migraine and other headache disorders or prior experience in neurology
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-organizationally
- High level of motivation and enthusiasm
- Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently
