The Business Associate will be a critical player in shaping our company brand identity, driving customer engagement, and managing business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is an adaptable, creative, and analytical individual who thrives in a start-up atmosphere and brings fresh ideas to the table.
You will serve as a point of contact between the company and our growing customer base, engaging directly with the audience while managing key aspects of marketing, customer service, content creation, and event planning. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a variety of areas.
Work & Training Location:
Participate in on-site training and work in our New Castle, DE office (near Wilmington University).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation & Marketing Execution:
- Creative Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content that tells our story, resonates with customers, and drives conversions. This includes crafting compelling social media posts, short videos, Amazon A+ content, newsletters, and more.
- Visual & Video Content: Design and edit short-form videos and visual content for social media, Amazon listings, and email campaigns that align with our brand's voice and target audience.
- Data-Driven Content Optimization: Use data insights and customer feedback to optimize content performance across channels. Continuously test new approaches to increase engagement and conversions.
2. AI Software Integration & Mastery:
- AI Utilization: Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper) to streamline content creation, automate customer outreach, and enhance marketing efforts.
- AI Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends by integrating emerging AI technologies into everyday business operations, helping the company maintain its competitive edge.
- Efficiency Improvement: Continuously identify areas where AI can improve workflows, reduce manual labor, and enhance customer service experiences.
3. Customer Service Excellence & Post-Purchase Engagement:
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service across multiple platforms, including Amazon and TikTok. Handle post-purchase support, responding to queries, addressing concerns, and managing returns.
- Customer Feedback Loop: Gather and analyze customer feedback, contributing to product and service improvements. Act as the voice of the customer within the organization.
- Platform Adherence: Ensure customer service interactions are fully compliant with platform-specific policies and guidelines (Amazon, TikTok, etc.).
4. Social Media Management & Brand Engagement:
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute social media campaigns that align with the brand’s voice and objectives, managing day-to-day activities on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and others.
- Community Engagement: Build and nurture an online community, responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a way that fosters positive relationships with current and potential customers.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze social media metrics to determine the effectiveness of campaigns. Use insights to refine strategies and optimize engagement and conversion rates.
5. Customer Club & Newsletter Management:
- Customer Club Development: Manage and grow the company’s customer loyalty program, offering exclusive content, promotions, and product updates to loyal customers.
- Email Campaign Strategy: Design, build, and send newsletters and email campaigns to our subscriber base, using targeted messaging to nurture customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Utilize CRM systems and email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Klaviyo) to segment customer lists, personalize content, and track campaign performance.
6. Event Planning & Execution:
- Marketing Events: Lead the planning and execution of both virtual and in-person marketing events, such as product launches, promotions, and customer engagement events.
- Coordination: Collaborate with various teams (e.g., marketing, operations, and product) to ensure seamless event execution, from initial planning to post-event analysis.
- Budgeting & Logistics: Oversee event budgets, logistics, and resource allocation, ensuring that events are executed within budget while maximizing impact.
7. Business Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Strategic Input: Work directly with senior management to identify new growth opportunities, from new product launches to entering new markets.
- Product Launches: Play a key role in the planning and execution of product launches, working with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure that new products are introduced successfully.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate efforts across departments to ensure alignment with overall business goals, offering support and input on marketing strategies, customer feedback, and product development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Content Creation Proficiency: Advanced skills in content development for social media, e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing. Experience with video editing, graphic design, and copywriting is essential.
- AI Software Mastery: Ability to effectively use AI tools to automate and optimize marketing, content creation, and customer engagement processes. Knowledge of popular AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper) is a plus.
- Customer Service Savvy: Proven ability to provide stellar customer service on platforms like Amazon and TikTok, with a strong understanding of post-purchase service protocols.
- Social Media Expertise: Expertise in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. Familiarity with social media analytics tools is preferred.
- Event Planning & Execution: Experience in planning and executing both virtual and live events, with attention to detail and logistical expertise.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion of tasks and strategic objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce, particularly with Amazon’s A+ content and marketplace guidelines.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for content optimization.
