The Planning, Environmental and Development Services Department (PEDS) is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of
Manager, Fiscal & Operational Support Division. This position supervises, plans and directs the development services, fiscal operations and County GIS activities and provides high-level professional support to ensure the most effective and efficient operations.
Work is performed with independent judgment under the general supervision of the Department Director and is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and results achieved. .
Job Description
Representative Duties/Assignments
- Directly responsible for personnel matters within the Division, including hiring, discipline, training and development, performance appraisals and related activities.
- Support the Department Director with routine and unique departmental needs and initiatives.
- Responsible for Department budget administration including grants, CIP budgets and expenditures.
- Direct the Concurrency Management Office and serve as the Concurrency Management Official.
- Oversee County GIS program and serve on the GIS Steering Committee.
- Coordinates development support services across the organization to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with rules and regulations.
- Keeps in alignment with regulatory changes, construction trends and technologies, monitors/reports on development activity trends, and makes public presentations.
- Develops and implements operational improvements including technology driven solutions where feasible.
- Oversee the department communication efforts (outreach, social media, PIO, newsletter.
- Performs other duties of a comparable level as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Accounting, Public or Business Administration or a related field and seven years of varied personnel administration experience including financial management, or closely related field, to include three years of supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Preferences
Extensive experience in Finance/Financial Management
Experience in land development processes and procedures.

Pay Grade: 945 - From $115,398 to $150,030
FLSA Status: Exempt
