Primary Objective
The main objective for the Marketing Coordinator is to promote awareness and a positive public image of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce while identifying and implementing effective tools to enhance its brand and service to the Peoria and West Valley business community.
Duties & Responsibilities
Social Media
1. Create and manage social media posts based on the marketing calendar.
2. Engage with members and the community through social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and identify additional platforms that will enhance engagement efforts.
3. Monitor social media platforms for membership inquiries and provide appropriate follow-up.
Communications & Publications
4. Create and distribute communications to all Chamber contacts, coordinating with Chamber staff to ensure correct and timely information is sent.
5. Serve as editor and distributor of the monthly e-Newsletter sent to all Chamber members and other community contacts.
6. Maintain and develop internal CRM tools to maximize email marketing campaigns, including outreach to potential Chamber members and oversight of member-to-member email communication requests.
7. Develop marketing materials, promotional collaterals, and social media graphics to promote member benefits, special events, ribbon cuttings, and other resources provided by the Chamber.
8. Collaborate with local publications to create content that promotes the Chamber, including creation of the annual Community Guide and weekly and monthly advertising content. Research additional marketing opportunities to promote the Chamber and review with President & CEO.
9. Maintain a communications calendar to include artwork design, email distribution, and other deadlines to ensure Chamber content is sent in a timely manner.

10. Maintain and update all relevant Chamber information on the website as needed, including calendar and event updates, member and Chamber news, job postings, advertisements, and calendar submissions from members.
11. Review and reply to membership inquiries and work with Chamber staff to ensure information is added to marketing campaigns for consistent outreach.
12. Ensure consistency with brand compliance.
13. Develop fresh content to enhance communications to members and the public.
14. Analyze web traffic metrics and share with members, when applicable.
15. Other duties as necessary, to ensure effective promotion of all Chamber benefits and activities.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong public relations skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with members and community partners; exceptional organization to manage various marketing functions; ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative; computer skills; high level of reliability; ability to work professionally and cooperatively with others to create a positive and constructive relationship with other Chamber staff, members, partners, and the public.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in all aspects of digital media, basic website editing, content development, design, and marketing. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred. Experience with Zoho One CRM platform a plus. Experience working for a nonprofit organization, municipality, or in a business-to-business environment a plus.
