ABOUT US
10 East is an institutional-grade wealthtech platform led by Michael Leffell, the former Deputy Executive Managing Member of Davidson Kempner. The platform offers streamlined access to high-quality private market investments for individual and institutional investors by leveraging a decade+ legacy of strong investment performance, a strategic sourcing network, and dedicated institutional resources. Platform members invest at their discretion, alongside our principals and partners, in single-investment and niche fund vehicles across private credit, real estate, private equity, and venture capital. 10 East’s offerings are typically unavailable via traditional wealth management platforms.
The firm was originally founded as Portage Partners (“Portage”) in 2010 by Mr. Leffell as a single-family office. It later expanded to service a set of partners who are predominantly founders and/or executives of investment firms. Portage rebranded to 10 East in 2022. Since inception, the firm has completed +365 investments, committed +$1.2 billion in equity together with its partners, and has a strong decade+ track record of performance.
