JOB Title: Office Manager
Reports to: Pastor
Hours: Part-time; 20-24 hours per week
Position Summary
To serve Front Range Alliance Church (FRAC) by ensuring that the church administrative processes are managed in a timely and helpful manner.
Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role responsible for the church bookkeeping, database management, communications, calendar & event coordination, maintenance reporting, purchasing, and some ministry support. The office manager coordinates a team of volunteers who assist with aspects of church administration.
Skills & Qualifications
- Desire to “serve the Lord with gladness” by serving the body of FRAC.
- Comfortable using, training, and troubleshooting various software packages including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, church management software, website builder, and graphic design platform.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Basic bookkeeping experience helpful.
Duties
Bookkeeping
- Manage all cash, check, and online giving and other income; record weekly in church management software; prepare bank deposit & take to the bank.
- Assist volunteer bookkeeper with QuickBooks reconciliations and expense payments.
- Prepare regular financial summary reports for FRAC treasurer
Database Management
- Ensure church people database is kept current
Communications
- Prepare weekly church newsletter email
- Prepare announcement slides
- Maintain current content on church website, including posting weekly sermon videos and podcast
- Maintain current content on church social media account(s)
Calendar & Events
- Work with ministry leaders to schedule and promote all church events
- Manage requests from non-FRAC guests requesting to use the FRAC building
Maintenance Reporting
- Work with FRAC deacons to ensure building maintenance needs are tracked and completed
Purchasing
- Work with ministry leaders to purchase necessary supplies
Ministry Support
- Assist ministry leaders with communications & software support
Other
- Maintain a warm and welcoming office environment
- Attend weekly FRAC staff meeting
- Maintain supply of office products and manage use of office equipment
