Summary/objective
Job Description
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for all internal and external club communications. This position will craft engaging content and will be responsible for effective club promotion.
Essential Functions

- Managing and maintaining content on the club's website, both the public and member-only sides.
- Managing the club's social media channels, which currently consist of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Creating and sending member communications via email and text message.
- Managing and updating content on digital signage throughout the club.
- Creating graphics and posters for member event promotion.
- Writing and editing of club member communications.
- Creating and updating club promotional materials in coordination with the Membership Director.
- Creating and editing the Club's quarterly newsletter publication.
- Capturing photo and video content for promotion and archives.
- Organize and maintain the club's image and video archives.
- Curate content for the club's monthly Golf Channel-produced video newsletter.
- Maintain the club's member events and internal staff calendars.
- Assist the club's publicist in story creation and media relations.
- Create and distribute monthly email marketing campaigns through Mailchimp.
- Work with the club's Communications Committee.
Competencies
- Experience in marketing or communications. Prior private club, customer service, and/or administrative experience is highly desired.
- Technology proficient in Microsoft Office programs along with social media platforms. Ability to adapt and learn new technology and software programs is a must.
- Strong communication skills.
- The ability to complete projects on short deadlines and operate through regular interruptions.
- A professional appearance and demeanor along with ability to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential information are musts.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
- The work environment will be a combination of indoor office work and outdoor work as needed to secure content for various communication and marketing needs.
Physical demands
- Ability to be on your feet for longer periods, lift, move, and/or carry up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to carry out various functions that may require pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching.
Required Education And Experience
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Degree in communications and/or marketing.
