Job Summary: To ensure the highest level of service possible to Willy Street Co-op’s internal and external customers. Design or create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos. To assist with visual marketing, communication and education.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
- Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
- Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, in-house promotional logos and graphics, brochures, flyers, invitations, events and programs and websites.
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
- Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients or supervisors and making necessary changes.
- Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
- Prepare notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing.
- Coordinate with departments to produce/redesign literature about products.
- Maintain cohesive and consistent signage throughout the stores.
- Fulfill signage requests from all departments and oversee all in-store signage production.
- Design cohesive and consistent permanent signage for all internal and/or external store applications.
- Design and create signage for promotional use and special events.
- Use templates to create and post short-notice materials or signage.
- Design and layout promotional sales pages.
- Coordinate with newsletter editor to create theme-based newsletter cover artwork and corresponding illustrations.
- Design all Willy Street Co-op ads.
- Abide by all co-op policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company documents.

- Experience in/working knowledge of the following areas is a plus:
- Digital and/or off-set print processes
- Motion graphics
- Social media
- Photography
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, sitting and reaching.
- Using hands or fingers to handle or feel.
- Specific vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and adjust to focus.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Work Environment: Office setting with enclosed offices, cubicles and some meeting spaces. Moderate temperatures with noise including but not limited to computers, paging, phones, human voices, file cabinets, printers and key card beep.
