The Graphic Designer III, under direction, performs expert-level graphic design, marketing and consultation. for various branding, web, and digital projects for marketing and communications needs of the university. Responsibilities include maintaining the university Brand Hub and maintaining official GIPHY and Pinterest channels. Meets with internal and external customers to determine project needs and requirements.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing major, or related field and
- Four years of experience in marketing, including: four years of experience in graphics design using Adobe Creative Suite (such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AfterEffects) and two years’ experience working within a brand guide and consulting with clients on facilitating creative requests
Responsibilities:
- Design Direction and Implementation - Conceptualizes and implements creative work, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Performs expert level design and consultation work. Assists the Creative Manager/Director in developing and implementing comprehensive, university-level, strategic communication programs.
- Social Media Content Creation - Consults, designs, and develops animations and graphics Texas A&M Social Media channels or for external customers around campus. Each channel has varied sizes, types, and needs that will need to be coordinated and anticipated. Reviews for functionality, browser compatibility, consistency, and user interface design, ensuring that guidelines are met. Serves as the point person on GIPHY and Pinterest.
- Brand Hub Counsel and Maintenance - With assistance from the Executive Director and publications writer, maintains MarCom Brand Hub content by regularly adding/tagging new assets and removing/archiving expired assets. Curates content for regular newsletter to share new features and updates. Assists Brand Hub training/orientation for new employees.
- Creative Brand Strategy and Direction - Provides strategic direction and counsel of the design and development processes for marketing projects involving photography, graphic design, websites, social media, and other digital platforms, and printed materials. Researches and implements design and development best practices. Provides branding guidance and ensures guidelines are met. Researches and develops tools that aid in the development and design of graphic design projects. Develops creative brand strategy for university partnerships.
- Project Coordination - Provides art direction and strategic counsel of various projects including social media and integrated communication campaigns. Works closely with various vendors and other communications staff to ensure timeliness and quality of final products. Trains and mentors Student Technician. Performs other duties as assigned.
