We’re looking for a motivated, energetic professional to tell the stories of the Southern Ohio PGA and PGA REACH Southern Ohio and through those stories, help continue the upward trajectory of both organizations!
The Content and Marketing Manager will create and manage the voice for all things Southern Ohio PGA and PGA REACH Southern Ohio Foundation to internal and external audiences. This person will create and deliver all communications through email, create and deliver social media content across all platforms, update and improve the digital communications presence through website management, design graphics for use across all communications channels, and manage photography and videography responsibilities. This person will also be involved in fundraising and event management to support both organizations. This person will be responsible for the protection, growth and oversight of the Section and Foundation brands.
The Content and Marketing Manager will act on behalf of the Southern Ohio PGA of America and report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Create and plan social media content for all accounts
- Envision, plan, and execute marketing campaigns to build awareness and drive engagement with programs, initiatives and events.
- Manage the content and maintain the accuracy of the Section and Foundation websites.
- Produce content for digital, social, event, and other marketing channels to support programs and initiatives and targeted event promotions
- Design all digital graphics for print and online creative needs
- Gather content and distribute the Section’s weekly e-newsletter, the Foundation’s monthly e-newsletter and all other individual email communications
- Manage the coordination, creation and publication of all marketing and promotional materials, including email marketing campaigns, posters, flyers, ads and videos
- Design, write and manage content for Section’s monthly PGA Magazine article.
- Handle media relations including maintaining the media database, coordinating news releases, distributing results for tournaments, distributing featured “spotlight stories” and managing any media inquiries or requests from outside organizations.
- Manage onsite event media and photography.
- Assist with all sponsor, partner and donor relations by managing communications prior to and after events, updating the online directory, maintaining the sponsor and donor databases, and ensuring that all outlined promotional benefits and expectations are executed.
- Assist other Southern Ohio PGA staff and related activities, as requested.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree preferred
- 2+ years experience and/or training with digital communications and marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- An understanding of the golf industry is preferred but not required
- Self-starter who is driven to learn and improve skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are required
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with the Google Suite, Canva and Adobe Suite, are required
- Experience with social media tools, web environments, multimedia and related communications applications
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, attention to detail, energetic and highly organized
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- A team player with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
- Available to travel and work overtime occasionally, to include weekends
- Valid Driver’s License Required
