About the Role:
We are looking for a versatile Data Journalist/Analyst to join our team at The Quantum Insider (TQI). This role is split between reporting and analytical duties, requiring a candidate who can both interpret data and translate it into compelling stories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and journalism, with the ability to produce insightful commentary and trend stories.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Journalist:
- Develop insight stories based on data analysis.
- Data journalism stories
- Write short trend stories.
- Create insightful stories based on input from analysts and leads.
- Prepare insightful commentary for newsletters as needed.
- Assist in updating and maintaining the quantum technology database.
- Write supporting analysis documents
- Editorial assistance in TQI and across verticals when needed
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A background in STEM and journalism or communications is welcomed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data journalism or a related field.
- Commercial knowledge of quantum technology
- Proficiency with data analysis software and tools.
- Basic knowledge of newsletter software.
