Natives of Kodiak (NOK) has a lucrative career opportunity for a career minded Corporate Communications Coordinator who will report out of the Anchorage, AK headquarters.
This essential role contributes to and supports shareholder engagement activities, collaborating with NOK team members to execute the corporation’s internal and external strategic communications efforts, and providing administrative support as assigned.

Essential Functions
- Assist with content creation, including writing, editing, and proofreading communication materials such as corporate newsletters, email blasts, press releases, and social media content.
- Update website content to ensure the accuracy of NOK websites and manage passwords and subscriptions.
- Grow NOK's social media presence by monitoring various platforms, suggesting and creating content, scheduling posts, and increasing engagement with NOK shareholders and other stakeholders.
- Writing, editing, and conducting research as needed to support NOK communication projects, which could include press releases, newsletter articles, social media posts, and the annual report.
- Ensure that all communication products align with NOK's communications and branding standards.
- Assist with various corporate event activities including meeting planning, and conference support.
- Establishes and maintains email distribution lists for the electronic delivery of materials to shareholders, media, and other stakeholders.
- Manages all social media accounts, including monitoring engagement, creating social media posts, and managing holding subsidiary accounts as assigned.
- Support the creation of branded communication tools for company use.
- Assisting with printer and mailing coordination.
- Fulfill other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or English, or related is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years corporate communications, public relations, or marketing experience.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Microsoft Office, and WordPress.
- Knowledgeable of various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- General understanding of social media management, marketing strategies, and media relations.
