Dress for Success Tampa Bay (DFSTB) is a nonprofit organization who empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive in work and life. We provide women with supportive services needed to make life transitions resulting in achieving self-sufficiency and socioeconomic advancement.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Workforce Development Manager will oversee programs including Professional Women’s Group (PWG), Moving Forward cohorts, and other programming that will help our clients develop the necessary skills to achieve their employment goals and help them thrive in work and life.
Responsibilities
Oversee the Moving Forward program:
- Manage and implement cohorts, including marketing & recruitment, content, presentations, and speaker arrangements.
- Develop recruitment strategies and partnerships with appropriate agencies and resources to ensure sufficient candidate referrals for each cohort
- Create and implement a retention strategy to track employment, promotions, career pivot needs, etc. along key milestone moments.
- Create and implement a job board available to clients, populated by community partners with open roles and positions.
Oversee the Professional Women’s Group (PWG) employment retention program:
- Building relationships to recruit and retain members. Goal is to retain 60+members at all times.
- Provide, procure and/or facilitate career coaching (to include resume preparation, mock interview sessions, and job search support) to PWG members in person and virtually as needed during scheduled appointments.
- Coordinate and attend all PWG programs including Monthly Meetings and Financial Education. Responsibilities include recruiting participants, monitoring class activity, managing attendance, securing program materials, creating class agreements, and sourcing food for events.
- Coordinate and organize all speakers for monthly PWG meetings.
- Serve as affiliate liaison to DFS Worldwide for special opportunities including scholarships, employment, conferences, and community service projects.
- Coordinate production of a monthly newsletter to provide valuable resources and motivational information to members of PWG.
Oversee and manage:
- all budgeting and planning needed for programming and workforce development programs
- all data management and necessary reporting from programming for the purpose of organizational needs and/or grants and funding
- all external partnership programming with corporate partners to deliver classes, workshops, and presentations, including financial literacy classes
- all requests for community-facing presentations and workshops
- the development and maintenance of a network of speakers, resume and interview coaches for MFP cohorts, PWG needs and transition services needs (to be accomplished working with the Volunteer Coordinator).
- assigned special projects from DFS Worldwide that support PWG and MFP
- all administration support needed for programs

- Have experience as a coach or mentor, and enjoy supporting women through career development and various phases of their career journey
- Extremely comfortable with communication (oral, written, and presentation)

- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in HR, talent management, coaching and/or training
- Ability to work weekends and evenings to deliver programs
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, welcoming of diverse life experiences, and demonstrated ability to create a positive culture
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and planning skills
- Proficiency and experience with data analysis and technology, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, video conferencing, etc.
- Adherence to DFSTB policies and expectations
- Physical requirements include being able to sit or stand in stationary positions for long periods; being able to lift and carry light loads (up to 30 pounds for short distances of approximately one block
- Demonstrated tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and cultural competency with all clients, volunteers and community members
