About the Marketing Associate Position
JECohen is seeking a Marketing Associate who will play a significant role in shaping the firm’s brand and awareness within the community through various marketing initiatives. An ideal candidate would be someone with one to three years of experience in marketing and communications, including collegiate work or internships.
The Marketing Associate position is a new role and the person to fill it would have opportunities to influence the growth of the marketing department within JECohen. Someone with an entrepreneurial background or spirit will be able to go far in this role, taking on new initiatives and supporting the CEO as he considers the best ways to sell and expand the company.
The Marketing Associate will manage the projects and initiatives outlined but not limited to the list below.The Marketing Associate will be expected to work 20 hours per week in the office. Aside from the marketing responsibilities, the individual will be expected to attend weekly staff meetings, as well as check-in meetings weekly to provide status updates on projects.

Key Role Responsibilities:
- Maintain firm’s website (WordPress)
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve company objectives
- Create and distribute newsletter via Mail Chimp (newsletter may be drafted by copywriter) but may need to be laid out and created in the template and may include other pieces of previously created content
- Analyze marketing data (e.g., website traffic, conversion rates, ROI) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies
- Create or update marketing collateral
- Pursue awards, nominations, and other opportunities for firm recognition as needed
- Coordinate and deliver all branded materials – logos for sponsored events and ad materials
- Maintain firm’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok). This may require off-site visits and company events to capture photo content
- Order and create swag/marketing collateral that is on-brand for public relations, advertising programs, special events, direct-mail programs, client gifts, etc.
- Plan and execute firm events
- Other duties as assigned
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, maintaining high attention to detail
- Be a self-starter with a positive attitude
- Proactive time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities
- Proficient knowledge of Canva or other design software
- Proficient to mastery knowledge of all social media platforms
- Proficient knowledge of social media management tools with ability to analyze reach
- Proficient knowledge of and comfort with WordPress to routinely update JECohen’s website
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools including Google Analytics and Ad Words and SEO optimization
- Proficient knowledge of Mail Chimp for creation and delivery of newsletters
- Strong digital photography and short-form video skills
- Generally, good visual design skills and a creative mind for presenting information in a visually compelling way
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or demonstrate relevant experience, with 1 to three years of experience.
Digital Marketing Certifications through Meta, Google and/or Hubspot are a plus.
