Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Intern we’re looking for is eager to learn, ambitious, and willing to jump into just about anything while learning the financial services industry, how we market it, and enjoying conversations about food, true crime, and pets. You’ll assist the Marketing team on a wide array of marketing projects for Michigan First Credit Union, as well as the entire portfolio of Michigan First brands.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist the team with administrative tasks, such as processing invoices and maintaining an understanding of the marketing budget
- Support day-to-day marketing activities in creative and hands-on ways, while also working alongside marketing professionals to learn and grow your skills
- Research and draft new blogs
- Assist with copywriting for the newsletter, emails, website, and other marketing collateral
- Pricing, research, and ordering of collateral or promotional items
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of the Michigan First team, as well as independently.
- Experience with website management, Adobe Creative Suite Programs, Google Analytics, and various social platforms.
- Background in photography, video production, graphic design, public relations, and social media is preferred but not required.
- Candidates who are working toward or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or a related field and are willing to work 32-40 hours per week are encouraged to apply.
