Company Description

The Outlaw Report was founded in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia to provide fair and credible coverage of cannabis news and policy in the DMV area. Our focus is on delivering cannabis news specific to our community and the policies that impact it.


Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Research and Reporting Intern. The intern will be responsible for conducting research on cannabis-related topics, compiling reports, and contributing to news articles. The main project for the intern will be learning to curate and publish our weekly newsletter. The role involves remote collaboration with the editorial team and assisting in content curation.


We are looking for an intern July through December 2025, maximum 5hrs volunteer work a week.


Qualifications

  • Research, Analysis, and Reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in cannabis news and policy
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Experience in journalism field
  • Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications or related field
