New Position: Multimedia Outreach & Operations Specialist
Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week in office (El Segundo, CA) + 3 days remote

Position Summary
Grades of Green is seeking a creative, tech-savvy, and strategic professional to join our team as the Multimedia Outreach & Operations Specialist. This role blends visual storytelling, digital communications, and systems support to elevate our public presence and internal efficiency. The ideal candidate is a skilled multimedia content creator with a systems mindset — someone who can engage audiences across platforms and implement tools that help us work smarter behind the scenes. This is a hybrid position, requiring two days per week in person with the flexibility to work remotely the other three days. While the standard schedule is Monday–Friday, there may be occasional evening or weekend support needed for key events or campaigns throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
Multimedia Communications & Outreach (50%)
- Digital Content & Website Management - Maintain and update our website, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Email Newsletters & Campaigns - Design and distribute newsletters, event invites, and email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp.
- Social Media Strategy & Content Creation - Develop and execute a social media calendar; create multimedia content (e.g., graphics, videos, reels) to grow and engage our audience on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more.
- Brand & Visual Storytelling - Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all public-facing materials including presentations, flyers, and fundraising assets.
- Annual Report Production - Lead the design and production of our annual impact report using a mix of narrative, visuals, and data.
Strategic Operations & Systems Integration (50%)
- AI & Digital Tools Integration - Identify and implement AI tools and digital platforms that streamline internal workflows and improve productivity across the team.
- Fundraising Data Support - Organize, track, and analyze donor data to support fundraising strategy and improve campaign performance.
- Organizational Data Management - Develop systems for tracking programmatic and organizational data to inform key reports, storytelling, and internal decision-making.
- Intern Coordination - Supervise and support interns working on communications and administrative tasks, providing training and guidance.
- Team Collaboration - Work closely with the Programs and Community Engagement staff to align communications and data tools with our mission and goals. Support team needs occasionally in assisting with corporate partners or programming.
Desired Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Skilled in digital communications, marketing, nonprofit operations, or a related field.
- Strong skills in visual design, video editing, and digital storytelling.
- Proficiency in tools like Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress/Wix, and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with CRM and data platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Some experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, etc.) to optimize comms or operations.
- Organized, proactive, collaborative, and has the capacity for growth with a commitment to environmental equity and youth empowerment.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000–$63,000, commensurate with experience
