Job Description
MSNBC is looking for an experienced Senior Producer to be responsible for creating, producing and supervising content for Morning Joe.
Responsibilities
- Drive the production of the show’s non-linear entities, including newsletter, podcast, and YouTube content.
- Pitch ideas for the morning broadcast and post-show non-linear content.
- Supervise the team responsible for show non-linear imprints.
- Work in control room as needed for live show coverage.
- Write and produce segments.
- Be involved in show’s planning process.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of Editorial experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment, ability to anticipate and respond quickly to change.
- Experience in story first journalism approach.
- Experience developing producer talent.
Desired Qualifications
- Possess ability to develop story ideas, research and plan segments.
- Strong writing skills.
- Sound journalistic judgment.
- Knowledge of current events, politics and American history.
- Strong time management skills.
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.

Salary range: $125,000 - $180,000.
