About Us

Kinfolk Tech Foundation is building people-powered narrative infrastructure for collective memory. In a moment of cultural crisis—where books are banned, history is being actively erased, and monuments still glorify white supremacy—we are designing a new commemorative model where communities are the architects of memory, and public space becomes a canvas for truth, resistance, and reimagination.

We work hyperlocally to gather and honor the past, present, and future of communities—focusing on Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Queer communities whose stories have been erased or distorted. Through deep community partnerships, we support local residents in reclaiming their narrative power through immersive technologies and authentic storytelling.

The Role

We're seeking a dynamic Digital Storytelling Director to lead our narrative change work across all platforms. You'll be the driving force behind our efforts to preserve, protect, and share erased histories, crafting compelling stories that showcase our innovative use of AR for cultural preservation while building and nurturing our digital community.

You'll develop strategies that transform casual followers into engaged storytellers and ultimately into active participants in our collective memory-building mission. Working across teams, you'll ensure our messaging empowers communities to reclaim their narrative power while scaling our impact from projects to platform. This role reports to the Executive Director of Kinfolk Tech Foundation.
