Position Overview:

Highly visible employee communications role in New York, NY or our Delray Beach, FL office.  Ideal profile will include experiential culture building in a start-up environment. Will be tasked with supporting the establishment of an employee communications strategy driving the employer brand and employee value proposition for a growing renewable energy company. 7-10 years of relevant experience required.

As the Sr. Manager, Employee Communications , you will:

  • Develop, articulate, and implement the employee engagement communications strategy 
  • Participate in the development of strategic messaging for employees and prospects  
  • Prepare and execute content such as employee emails, newsletter, intranet, internal events, employer brand storytelling
  • Support employee advocacy strategy for LinkedIn  
  • Plan and coordinate executive management team townhalls  
  • Work closely alongside of HR to support talent acquisition, recognition and retention initiatives 
  • Strategize and coordinate employee events and culture-building activities
  • Special projects as needed  

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience; including employee communications, corporate communications, employee marketing  
  • Start-up experience preferred; public company experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision and execution 
  • Highly organized and action-biased  
  • Experience with change management and culture building initiatives
  • Experience carrying an idea or initiative from inception to fruition  
  • Experience and comfortability working hand in hand with senior management   

Preferred experience:

  • Clean energy/sustainability experience highly preferred  
  • Design skills desirable  
  • Experience managing vendors/contractors  
  • Proficient in Canva, Figma, similar tools  
  • Strong writer/storyteller  
  • Strong familiarity with best practices writing to broad and diverse audiences  
  • Familiar with managing intranet platform and other digital communications tools  
  • Comfort in managing multiple deliverables simultaneously  
  • Comfort with making sourcing requests (such as bringing on a new vendor, setting scope for 3 rd party support) to support strategic recommendations

In New York, the salary for this position at the time of this posting ranges from $140,000 to $165,000. Within that range, individual compensation varies based on job-related factors including but not limited to experience and training, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
