Location: Remote/Hybrid - Twin Cities Area

Type: Internship (Paid)

Hours: Part-time (10-20 hours per week)

Compensation: $15 - $20 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience)

Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated Marketing and Sales Intern to support our business development, marketing, and outreach efforts. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to gain comprehensive experience in sales, marketing, and business startup operations within a field dedicated to making a positive community impact. You will be involved in social media management, content creation, marketing strategy, networking, and business development for a growing startup focused on helping older adults age safely and comfortably in their homes.

Potential Responsibilities:


  • Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and monitor social media content across platforms.
  • Content Creation & Repurposing: Assist in writing blog posts, newsletters, captions, and promotional materials. Repurpose existing content into various formats, such as videos, infographics, or shorter posts.
  • Campaign & Event Promotion: Assist in the planning and promotion of seasonal campaigns, webinars, and presentations.
  • Referral & Testimonial Management: Develop referral programs, gather client testimonials, and update reviews on digital platforms.
  • Digital Marketing Analysis: Monitor social media, website, and newsletter metrics. Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead Generation & Networking: Identify and connect with potential clients, referral partners, and strategic partnerships.
  • Outreach Coordination: Distribute marketing materials to churches, senior centers, libraries, etc. to broaden the brand’s reach.
  • Research & Strategy: Stay updated on aging-in-place trends and marketing strategies. Recommend adjustments based on research findings.
  • Website & SEO Updates: Optimize Google business page, ensure relevant content is published, and implement SEO improvements.
  • Support Online Course Development: Assist in promoting and marketing the upcoming online course.


Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Business, Communications, Gerontology, or related program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Experience with Canva or similar graphic design tools.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and analytics.
  • Self-motivated and organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Passion for serving older adults and making a positive social impact.
  • (Preferred) Experience with Zoho CRM, MailChimp, or other marketing software.
