Director of Accounting, Human Services

Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking a Director of Accounting for our non-profit team in Chicago, IL. As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee the end-to-end accounting processes for multiple non-profit clients. Serving as the main point of contact and internal liaison for our clients, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a compelling vision for developing and implementing an effective client strategy that will empower them to reach their financial goals and objectives successfully. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days/week on-site with our clients in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

• Deliveraccurate and timely financial statements, coaching, and counseling to stakeholders and operations managers to help improve margins and impact their bottom line
• Lead budget processes and incorporate periodic analytics
• Workclosely with clients to solve issues related to complicated financial statement situations
• Monitorfinances to aid clients functioning within those guidelines, and provide financial analysis and advice to clients
• Providebest practices within Quatrro to help the client improve their business execution
• Coordinatewith other internal Quatrro teams for consultative support on all financial services
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cross-functional teams aligned to a particular client delivery process
• Addressclient concerns and issues to ensure they are resolved promptly and dealt with according to client satisfaction
  
  

Qualifications:

Required:

• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and finance
• Experience working with Not-For-Profit organizations (Education or Health and Human Services sector is ideal)
• Versed in federal, city, and state grant administration, including compliance, budgeting, and allocation
• Demonstrated people management experience and success leading a team of direct reports, with a focus on coaching and developing Senior Accountants and Accounting Managers
• Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and functions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of industry-specific accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and processes
• Experienced in creating processes and efficiencies
• Strong business acumen and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated success working collaboratively and building relationshipswith key stakeholders and C-level executives
  
  

Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• MBA degree
• Experience in a consulting or business process outsourcing (BPO) environment
• Proven success leading both in-person anddecentralized/virtual teams
  
  

The estimated pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000/year.
