The 2-year Virtual Engagement Associate (VEA) Program is the launching pad for a career at Morgan Stanley. Throughout the program, VEAs provide support to Financial Advisors (FAs) and Teams who aspire to modernize their practice and strengthen client relationships in a manner that leads to business growth.
Digital VEAs leverage Morgan Stanley’s state-of-the-art tools to help FAs increase client engagement by managing their digital presence via social media and business websites, as well as by creating consistent client-specific communication based on Morgan Stanley’s unique Next Best Action tool.
Position Overview
This program is an in-person role that provides an exciting opportunity for recent graduates of all undergraduate majors and backgrounds to:
Obtain the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam (prior to joining the Firm), in addition to firm sponsorship of the Series 7 and Series 63 exams within the first 90 days of employment . Gain firsthand experience consulting and working directly with FAs and their t eams , learning about their business model and practice management Navigate and master Morgan Stanley’s state-of-the-art digital Modern Wealth Management Tools

The Morgan Stanley VEA training program is a two-phase program, consisting of a rigorous licensing phase, followed by training and assessments, which are designed to ensure that you are fully prepared to take your place on the desk.
- Adapt communication styles to adhere to a diverse array of people and situations and drive opportunities
- Develop and share new ideas to attract and retain clients and contribute to the future growth of the business
- Demonstrate empathy and help advisors with their inquiries, creating an exceptional client experience in a fast-paced environment
- In depth understanding of investments and financial markets, through trainings and on the job learning

A Typical Workday As a Digital VEA
- Collaborate with FAs to modernize their practice, enhance client relationships, and generate increased business
- Manage the digital presence for our FAs through their websites and social media
- Curate newsletter campaigns for advisors that catering to specific audiences
- Produce metrics to help FAs understand the impact you have made to the growth of their business
- Identify opportunities by p roactively analyz ing client relationships . Identify and recommend opportunities to FAs that will enrich the client experience
- Regularly participate in meetings with management to share best practices, planning wins and areas of improvement
- Establish, maintain , and support strong working relationships with FAs; demonstrate accountability and a strong work ethic to promote confidence and trust in your work
- Seek constructive feedback and be open to coaching from both your Desk Management and FAs

Specific Qualifications Include
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree, professional experience in finance, business development, management, marketing, sales, legal, accounting, education, military, or other business-related field preferred, but open to all majors
- Must have the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam prior to interviewing for this position in addition to Firm sponsorship of the Series 7 and Series 63 exams within the first 90 days of employment
- Exemplary communication, presentation, problem solving, and time-management skills
- Organized, focused, and highly disciplined
- Abi lity to prioritize assignments based on the needs of assigned FAs
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without durational restrictions
- Successful completion of background check and pre-employment assessments
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
