Market and Business Development Intern
About The Job
Madison Energy Infrastructure (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting with market research to identify potential clients as well as relevant industry trends
- Assisting with contributing content on markets and events for the Madison Energy Infrastructure newsletter.
- Working closely with other members of the team on current solar markets as well as financing expectations that influence and guide viable solar projects
- Assisting with additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
- A rising undergraduate Junior or Senior
- Interest and/or experience in trading, customer service, or operations.
- Creative problem solving
- Interest in the solar industry
- Interest in working in a team environment and learning about the energy industry with real-life work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Energetic and ready to tackle new projects and ideas
- Hands-on, with careful attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Hard-working and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Deadline oriented
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships
Compensation: $30 per hour
Location & Hours: This is a hybrid intern role that is based in our New York City office, with a required 40-hours per week; 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
