The PIM Engineer will support the Catalog Team in delivering best-in-class vendor care, user troubleshooting, and documentation of system improvements and technology processes. The candidate will interact cross-functionally with Content, eCommerce, and Vendor teams to support PIM configuration and administration, and must be comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable synthesizing complex user requirements to simple “if x, then y” statements. The ability to identify both short-term treatment and long-term cures for operational speed bumps will be essential for candidates to thrive in this role.


This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.


Responsibilities

  • Train Vendors and internal users on Syndigo PIM system, in addition to troubleshooting user issues.
  • Create comprehensive platform/workflow documentation and materials to support business teams on the use of PIM.
  • Collaborate with Catalog Product Manager, Content, and Merchandising leadership to execute short-term solutions (with guidance) to catalog speedbumps.
  • Organization of Jira tickets to track and communicate broader system trends to Catalog team.
  • Communicate bi-weekly updates to broader GameStop teams on improvements, known bugs, and surveying for future catalog improvements.


Breakdown Of Merch System Admin Responsibilities Per Week

  • Vendor Setup, Training, and Care - 25%
  • Implementation of short-term Catalog needs (Reference lists, internal trainings and troubleshooting, user access requests, taxonomy audits, application log monitoring, email notification settings) - 25%
  • Business rule testing, workflow monitoring, access configuration updates, in addition to verifying quarterly Syndigo product updates in QA environment - 20%
  • Documentation of Trainings and System Improvements (huge!), “Patch Note” newsletter, surveying of product improvements - 15%
  • Jira ticket tracking, follow-ups, and escalation - 15%


Skills/Proficiencies

  • 1-3 years in Merchandise Operations, Vendor Care, or similar Content Roles
  • 1-3 years experience working with Jira or Confluence
  • 1-3 years with customer-facing communications in retail, IT, or related fields.
  • Strong working knowledge of process optimization
  • Experience with Syndigo or similar PIM system a plus
