The Full Time Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in amplifying our strategic business initiatives through diverse communication channels. This position is key to fostering organizational growth and strengthening connections with both our internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Training Team and company leaders, this individual will craft compelling communication campaigns that inform, engage, and inspire, all while embodying our employment and corporate brand.

Duties
Create and implement strategic communication plans for key business initiatives and other projects
Identify, write, review, and edit content to ensure compliance with established brand and style guidelines
Update and maintain oversight of an annual content and project calendar, ensuring timely execution and follow up communications for all projects
Support the change management process by communicating to build awareness, foster understanding, and result in associates taking the desired action for key initiatives
Support initiatives that require communications for sensitive topics and/or topics that are highly confidential in nature
Develop content to be shared across internal and external communications channels
Manage and produce company newsletter
Provide strategic communications counsel to stakeholders across the company
Support the department's editorial process
Analyze and measure the effectiveness of communications to demonstrate return on investment (ROI)
Coordinate with external communications team as needed to execute integrated communications
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned by the Training Director
Qualifications
Associate degree preferred, or equivalent in a related area such as journalism, communications, public relations, or integrated communications
2-5 years of experience working in a related field, preferably in a corporate communications or public relations agency environment with constituents in multiple locations
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
Understands professional communication standards, including writing style guides and corporate communication best practices
Retail and/or consumer technology industry experience is a plus
Superior writing and editing skills
Able to take initiative to help push internal communication tools to the next level of effectiveness
Ability to lead and guide the work of others, including people who work in other departments
Ability to adapt at dealing with ambiguous situations
Strong project management skills and self-starter who can work independently
Experience in and knowledge of content management systems
Hands-on development of content strategy and execution
Media relations experience, including pitching stories
Proficient in social media content and monitoring
Experience executing video and other technology in innovative ways
Utmost attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to simultaneously balance multiple projects with competing priorities while working in a deadline-driven environment
Creativity and innovation competencies
Proven team player with interpersonal skills
Proficiency in SharePoint and the entire Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements
Home office space with high-speed internet connectivity is required
Must be mobile and able to sit and/or stand for minimum four (4) hours
Must have the ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, phone and other standard office equipment
