The Affiliate Communications Content Manager will lead the creation of all Affiliate-facing content and copy in order to strategically address the needs of our Affiliates; drive business-building action; support and build trust between the R+F Home Office and Affiliates; and appeal to an evolving Affiliate population. In addition, they will work with the Senior Director, Affiliate Communications, to develop strategic content direction for all Affiliate Communications. They will also manage the assignment of all writing projects among the copywriting team. They will act as the lead for content development and writing, partnering with all cross-functional business partners across the organization. This role will report to the Senior Director, Affiliate Communications.
The successful candidate will be a content guru, with the vision and talent to create and cultivate a cohesive voice and message across all channels for our Affiliates. They are also a proficient and creative writer with top-notch grammar and editing skills, able to write on the fly and collaborate easily with others. They are an expert in both the business and product side of Rodan + Fields, with the uncanny ability to present complex information in a simple, focused manner. A successful candidate also will be able to adapt her or his writing to a variety of formats (email, presentations, scripts, executive speeches, newsletters, etc.) and audiences, paying special attention to ensuring the right voice and content is delivered to the right audience for our Affiliates. They will be committed to using foresight to determine the business needs and goals of our Affiliates and will be strategically focused, detail-oriented, conscientious and committed to driving business growth via strategic communications. This individual must be proactive, resourceful and deadline-focused. They must able to act as manager/reviewer/approver of all copywriting, manage multiple tasks and priorities without jeopardizing quality of execution and build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners to successfully execute Company initiatives. They will be a highly motivated individual who has a passion for Affiliate Communications and content.
Responsibilities
Act as leader of all Affiliate-facing copy development
Act as manager/reviewer/editor/initial approver of all Affiliate content, ensuring copy is optimized to inform and activate our Affiliates in a simple, engaging way
Optimize copy writing process and content development process to ensure maximum efficiency, creativity and effectiveness
Assign and oversee the completion of all Affiliate writing projects
Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of Affiliate copy style guide
Key partner and adviser to all cross-functional teams on all things Affiliate content
Key content partnership and adviser to the Creative team on all Affiliate-facing copy
Work closely with the Senior Director, Affiliate Communications on strategic content development and decision-making
Deliver high-quality written short- and long-form content for all Affiliate-facing U.S. and global market communications, including, but not limited to: weekly The Insider newsletter, emails, scripts, web copy, and other materials as needed
Work as a team with the Affiliate group to identify areas of opportunity for further Affiliate engagement through strategically targeted communications that drive specific business action
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in English, journalism, communications or related field
8+ years professional writing and editing experience required, in a fast-paced, dynamic and high-performance environment
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Excellent grammar and editing skills
Strong problem-solving skills; must be proactive and take initiative
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to create and maintain detailed documentation
Advanced proficiency in using the latest versions of all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to establish and build partnerships with all levels of the business and Affiliate
Highly self-motivated and self-directed with experience working in a fast paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment
Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and professionalism
Demonstrated copy writing management experience
Affiliate Sales experience or experience in a sales-force driven environment a plus
Ability to offer flexibility in schedule, understanding some projects may require additional work during evenings and some weekends
